ScaleAQ’s department at Skodje outside Ålesund has since the development of the DFC-20 pre-grinder delivered over 50 pre-grinders to the aquaculture industry. As one of the market’s largest pre-grinders, this has been a fantastic success.

DFC-20 is currently installed on ScaleAQ’s new barges in concrete and steel, adapted to existing barges, delivered as a mobile pre-grinder and adapted to stand alone grinder tanks from ScaleAQ.
For some applications, we see that the DFC-20 with its enormous capacity of 20 tons / hour is too much. Some customers do not need these capacities and we are therefore often compared with competing solutions with lower capacity and a lower price. We wanted to do something about this and at the request of the market, we have therefore developed a new version of the DFC pre-grinder, the new DFC-10!
This is a machine developed and manufactured based on the experience of DFC-20. The machine has an estimated capacity of 10 tons / hour and handles all fish sizes due to its huge teeth. The machine is delivered with a funnel that feeds the fish nicely down towards the fearsome slow-rotating teeth. The machine is powered by the same 7.5kW electric motor as the DFC-20 and comes with a starter cabinet. Safety features such as hatch switches that prevent the machine from running as long as the hatches are open are standard.
The price of the new DFC-10 has been reduced by 25%, which makes it an attractive product for both new and existing builds.

The new DFC-10 will not currently be delivered as a mobile pre-grinder. If customers want mobile pre-grinding solutions, we then stick to the DFC-20 mobile pre-grinder.
