ScaleAQ has taken a strong position in the Scottish market.
It is with great pleasure to inform that we have secured a large pen contract with Mowi Scotland, worth approximately NOK 215,000,000. The delivery consists of 160 and 200 meters pens with winch and nets – delivery 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Mowi Scotland will now be the first fish farmer in Scotland to use 200-metre pens.
We have now taken a large and important step to realize the opportunities we see in the Scottish market; the aim is to become the preferred equipment supplier to several of the fish farming companies in Scotland.
We also have the ambition to contribute to developing the market with our knowledge, expertise, and product range.
Marine engineering, together with Conor and Graham w / ScaleAQ UK team has done a fanatic job. This is a great example of excellent teamwork across different departments.
The first shipment has already left ScaleAQ Frøya and is scheduled for arrival on 29.11.2021.

Boat
Earlier this year, Moen Marin sold a 15-metre catamaran -the NabCat 1510 DD – to the service company Inverlussa – the first hybrid boat in Scottish aquaculture.
NabCat 1510 DD is well equipped boat, including Scania propulsion machinery, Nogva rotatable gear and propeller system and Palfinger 65tm and 32tm cranes. There is a high level of comfort on board with a practical booth solution and bright cozy cabins.
Thermolicer
This autumn, we have finalized the delivery of two Thermolicer installations to Scotland. One to Mowi UK (Camilla Eslea) and the other to Scottish Sea farms (Kalista Helen).
Both are bespoke installations adapted to the vessels they will be on with high capacities in relation to the footprint of the installation.
Thermolicer is, the preferred, and by far the most used delicing method in Scotland. So far 5 Thermolicer installations have been delivered there, in addition, customers rent Norwegian vessels during high season.
Camilla Eslea
Camilla Eslea is a 35-meter-long vessel built in the Netherlands, finished summer 2021. The vessel was designed specifically to house a larger Thermolicer installation. The fish pumps are located below deck and feed two 38 meter long 500 mm Thermolicer lines.
The installation has a de-lice capacity of 250 tonnes per hour and has so far produced good results in terms of gentleness, de-lice effect and capacity.
Kalista Helen
The Kalista Helen is a 26-metre long service boat built in Scotland. finished summer 2021. The service boat was purchased to house an extensive 600mm Thermolicer loop of 22 metres placed on one shelter deck. The installation has a capacity of 125 tonnes per hour and has so far produced good results in terms of gentleness, dellicing effect and capacity.
