This upgrade is an important part of maintaining our Dynamics 365 systems and ensures that we continue to have reliable and robust tools for daily operations.

🧩 What is Dual Write? 

Dual Write is an automation layer developed by Microsoft that provides real-time, data synchronization between Finance & Operations (FO) and Customer Engagement (Sales, Field Service, Customer Service) through Dataverse. This ensures that changes made in FO are automatically written to Dataverse/CE — and often vice versa — allowing the organization to work with consistent and up-to-date data across systems. 

This integration enables Dynamics 365 applications to operate more like a single unified solution and supports key business processes such as customer master, product master, function locations, and similar master data scenarios. 

⭐ Why is it important to update Dual Write? 

Microsoft continuously develops and improves Dual Write, and updates are necessary to ensure: 

• Compatibility with new versions of FO, CE, and Dataverse 

• Improved stability and error handling 

• Reduced risk of data conflicts and manual errors 

🔧 Expected Impact 

The new version has been thoroughly tested in advance, and we do not expect any impact on the daily use of FO or CE (Sales, Field Service, or Customer Service) after the upgrade.
However, we cannot fully rule out that some error messages or unexpected behavior may occur following the rollout.
