Last week, the areas around Nha Trang, Vietnam were hit by a severe flood. We closed our ScaleAQ Ltd facility on Monday afternoon, 17 November. Today, 24 November, 85% of all employees were back at our premises.
We can confirm that all our employees are safe and unharmed. The same applies to their immediate families. However, the situation is serious, and we must handle a number of challenges related to the ongoing flooding affecting the homes of our employees.
Our location, which is a 30-minute drive outside Nha Trang, is unaffected and has no flood damage.
Unfortunately, the flood situation may impact our operations in the coming days, and longer response times than normal should be expected.
Thank you for your understanding.
If anyone has questions, please contact the undersigned.
The images above show areas in Nha Trang over the past week. A large number of our employees have suffered significant damage to their homes.
Vietnam has been hit hard by extreme rainfall recently, and for a long time it seemed that Nha Trang would avoid the worst damage. Unfortunately, that was not the case. A three–to four-hour drive from our location, 1700 mm of rain fell in just 24 hours — the second-highest amount ever recorded.
Kind regards,
Ståle Sæther
