This week an important milestone was reached in our project with ScaleAQ and New Zealand King Salmon. The very first floating collar from ScaleAQ has now been completed and towed out to the site.
On site, our service technician Vidar Furberg is assisting with completion and follow-up. The next step in the project is the release of fish, which is planned for May.

What began with the delivery of floating collars has since developed into a complete delivery that also includes nets, mooring, feeding and cameras. The contract is worth almost NOK 35 million and is the result of long-term work and close cooperation across countries and professional environments.
A lot of effort has been put in by colleagues in Norway, Iceland and Canada, and several have traveled to New Zealand to help build our first floating collars on site. Pete and the team from Oceania are also involved, working on feeding and camera solutions.
The project is also part of the Future Farming program in New Zealand, which is supported by the government and has a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
We look forward to the continuation!
