Last week, the parties signed an agreement to continue a global agreement for the entire Mercatus portfolio of software products. The agreement has a duration of five years. The Mercatus portfolio is used at all Mowi’s locations globally.

– This is an exciting agreement for both parties. We will help MOWI to further standardize the production with data flow through our data platform. Among other things, the work with daily registrations will be significantly simplified. Sensor and feeding data will be automatically registered in Mercatus Farmer and this makes the job of the user less time consuming. This should be clear as early as the first quarter of 2021.
Mercatus will also be delivered as a cloud-based service from Q3 2021. This ensures that Mowi also in the coming years receives the best support and the most up-to-date product on the market, says Geir Sindre Eithun sales manager in ScaleAQ.
– It is 20 years since Mowi took Mercatus into use for the first time, and it is very gratifying that we have now agreed on further cooperation. We like to say that over half of all farmed salmon in the world have their CV registered in our systems and as the world’s largest breeder it is clear that Mowi accounts for a significant proportion of the registered individuals.
The software package covers, among other things, the fish’s life cycle from roe to slaughter, fish health, production planning and financial budgets and forecasts. The agreement also covers ScaleAQ’s optimization engine for production planning. The engine handles all the different national and local regulations, and is a necessity to increase the performance in the various business units and for the company centrally.
