As a result of Jon Arild Tørresdal’s desire to step down as CEO of ScaleAQ Software and him leaving the company, I have, together with our Chairman of the Board, considered our options new leadership for the division. 

Together we have concluded that the best choice for the division and for ScaleAQ as a Group, is to offer Thomas Wiig, who already holds the role of CDO in Group, this add-on position in ScaleAQ Software, rather than advertising the position.

Thomas knows both Software and the other divisions very well, has already contributed his skills and experience to Software in several areas and activities. At the same time, his dual-role here will help us increase our opportunities to deliver on our digital strategy, where Software will be very important and where interactions and coordination with the other divisions will also be crucial for success together.

It is my pleasure to announce that Thomas has accepted this opportunity, and I am convinced that he, together with the rest of his new team, will create new opportunities and positive development for the company in the future. Because of this, several of his tasks at Seabased will be handled by others in the future, but Thomas will still have overall responsibility for Software/Digital at Seabased as today.

Thomas starts as new CEO as early as tomorrow 05.06.2025 and we wish him all the best in his new role.
