The SIKKER Award 2024 is awarded to Hestnes Service Station

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Safe Award 2024 is:

Hestnes Service Station by Frode Larsen, who with his own team and project has worked in a structured way over time with several lines that characterize good HSE work: on the system side, psychosocial, management and actual physical working conditions. This work has been/is ongoing in combination with full operation and necessary adaptations in the development phase.

Among other things, they have worked actively to establish good reporting routines to improve safety work and the working environment situation at the location, helped to phase out hazardous impregnation chemicals, which potentially strengthens the entire aquaculture industry in the long term, and worked actively to reduce work-related sick leave, with positive results to name a few.

We also want to highlight the many good initiatives that are taken every day, and thank everyone who contributes to a better and safer workplace. In particular, we highlight the candidate for the SIKKER award Moen Marin “Project Team East”, with manager Jan Tore Ysland (Moen Marin) for the documented work the team has done to raise the level of safety at Moen Marin’s shipyards in China.

In 2024, we established a Group Safety Award for the entire company. With this award, we want to recognize the good work done by everyone every day and give extra attention and recognition for good performance in one or more of the following areas:

  • Health and working environment
  • Safety
  • Information security
